Hawthorne VillageTM makes many kinds of collectible train sets and accessories for them. The trains on this page celebrate the colors and spirit of your favorite team. They run like champs. They also look great on a shelf in the "den" or "rec room." This blow-up is shown only to give you an idea of the quality of the graphics on these trains.

From a collector's, railroader's, railfan's, or baseball fan's point of view, these are exceptional products. I wish we could show every train - the graphics are stunning.

Note about Suppliers: While we try to help you get the products you want by recommending suppliers with a good record of customer service, all transactions between you and the supplier you chose to provide your trains or other purchases are governed by the published policies on the supplier's web site. So please print off any order confirmation screens and save copies of invoices, etc., so you can contact the appropriate supplier should any problems occur. (They almost never do, but you want to be on the safe side.)

Track - By the way, I've been getting questions about track. The trains above come with an oval of track that is about 38" x 56", although in most cases, you don't receive the track and power supply until about the third issue of the series. To get a jump start on your railroad, or to make your railroad a little larger, you may easily add additional pieces of Bachmann EZ Track. The Bachmann EZ Track #44501 is an exact replacement for the curves that come with the train sets. #44411 matches the straight pieces. In addition you can easily convert any of the train sets on this page to remote control with the Crest Basic Train Engineer.

Update for November, 2010! - Now Get Enough of the Collection to Run Right Away!. These train collections usually come an "issue" at a time. When you subscribe to a collection, you get the locomotive first, then in about four weeks you get the second piece plus some track, and so on. For November - December 2010, the Bradford Exchange is giving certain sports fans the chance to get the first three issues all at once, giving you the locomotive, two cars, a power supply, and a circle of track - enough of the train to run as soon as your first shipment comes in.

Further down, we list most of the sports trains that were available by subscription as of Nov. 1, 2010. But first we're going to list the trains that are available right now as sets. Once you're signed up, you can still stay subscribed and get the fourth car and any cars that are made in the future, but you can cancel at any time, so there's no long term obligation. On the other hand, they did this with a handful of trains in 2009, and most of the sets they offered this way sold out immediately, so don't wait too long if there's a set you like.

Subscription Trains

We now return you to our regularly scheduled buyer's guide page. :-) Note: Although these trains come an issue at a time, starting with the locomotive, they can also run on regular HO track with standard HO power supplies, so if you have access to ANY HO TRAIN SET in the world, you can still start your collection now and run the locomotive and any cars you get on the HO track until the rest of your pieces arrive. So please don't let the fact that your team's train isn't offered as a super starter set keep you from starting your collection.
